I try shortly to explain the "Valborg celibrations".
During the middle of the 18th century the Swedes started to light fires on Valborg, first in the Landscape called "Uppland".
Mainly it was beacause they wanted to scare away the predators so they wouldnt kill the cows when they were let out for the first time after the winter. So, if MrD, for example, had been alive back then, I wouldnt have liked to be in his cloths. The only reason the Shockplay players today pay attention to "Valborg" is beause of MrD.
Originally "Valborg" is said to be a daughter of King Richard.
She was regarded as the pretector of a fertile soil.
"Valborg" became a saint later on.
Personally I dont care much.

I mean you can see for yourself.
Shockplay players have been celebrated "Valborg" even since Shockplay started many years ago.
So they have attended the fires and even had some parties. Still MrD is around.
So, lets see if MrD still comes back after this years celebrations too??
I mean, as I said, I dont believe in this fire magic things myself. They simply dont help.
